Who am I?

As a licensed professional counselor with national certification, I am a psychotherapist in private practice in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. I am also licensed as a psychologist and have specialized training in trauma, eating disorders and EMDR. My experience includes hospitals, clinics and private practice.

My approach

I give confidential help in an environment of unconditional positive support.

My practice is a general one, but I see a lot of adults with histories of neglect, abuse, and trauma. The effects of early childhood trauma result in depression, low self-esteem, addictions, anxiety, panic attacks, and Eating Disorders

I use a collaborative and holistic approach to empower the individual to move forward and restore balance in ones life. Usually this includes re-examining old wounds, analyzing patterns of behavior, learning healthy ways of coping with emotions, working through losses and gaining new coping skills.

A positive relationship is a vehicle for change and growth. This validation allows one to appreciate and honor ones own experiences and the meaning one attaches to it. A deeper self-understanding is the key to a healthier life style. As Socrates says, "The unexamined life is not worth living"
